First of all, I’d like to
congratulate our newest subscriber TWBender, for buying a computer (of great
potential), and what do you think he’ll do with that?
Right, nothing…
Well, only time will tell and
it can always be used as a small table for knick-knacks…
I must say I enjoyed the hack
n’ slash via e-mail, it’s always nice to see Yoav having a fit because he
thinks we’re at each other’s throats (don’t you know it’ll take a lot more than
that to make us turn on each other?), but the time has come to put things
straight (yes, straight!) we all agree that consideration is vital for the game
and our coexistence, I say that from now on, since we all use the world wide
web (and you can check the prelude to see how Tomer fits in), for any and all
queries about the game (or a gothic party), we use the e-mail media, using the
phone to confirm should be the responsibility of the players.
About the game itself, I think
that all in all, things went rather smooth (especially the cookies…), it was
the usual we don’t care if it’s obvious we’re making a mistake, this is my
character, it is a ______ (choose one: macabre / stubborn / hard-headed / indifferent
/ greedy) ______ (again, just one: aasimar / dwarf / aasimar / human / dwarf /
half demon / any other you can imagine), and that’s how I play!
Guess what will pop up (and I
use the word pop with some caution) later in the page? I’ll give you a clue –
it will be in the good idea / bad idea segment…
I think that it’s obvious by
now, that the Doritos concept is over, we saw what he’s capable of (if he
really tried hard enough and concentrated) and it’s time he starts doing just
that (or perhaps switching to a mage character? No, not dual-class! And about
that issue, I don’t intend to dual-class myself, I plan to make a pact with
some power or demon…) we had a lot of time to debate on who’s the strongest, a
1st level fighter or a 20th level priest – I think we
know by now – a fighter is not necessarily that strong… so when and if the
adventure is over, choose your powers wisely (and to those who choose the path
of a different character or dual their way to utter bending, take everything
into consideration – pick a mage!), the rest of us have little to choose from
(hooray, a non weapon proficiency!) so you must take advantage of your freedom!
Another thing is the
continuing effort by the DM (as Yoav showed us before with Kritz) to build a
Babylon-Tower on the bent back of Tomer, don’t you learn? If he’s not there, you
should play him out. It’s as simple as that, I’m not saying he did a bad job at
it (Duh, playing a 20th level priest?!?) he was the perfect
selection for it (if he was there), but due to circumstances, you should have
played him yourself, we all knew what was going on, it wouldn’t have made a
difference to us.
The last thing I want to
discuss, with some relevance to the previous topic, is the fact that we always
start late, it doesn’t matter if we arrange everything before Eyal is ready (we
even arranged the books for him this time!), you’re all late all the time, I for
one, can manage it if we decide to start later, should this reoccur, I’d
suggest we resume the solo adventure, however, it’s kind of hard to do so when
the DM isn’t there… I therefore say, that perhaps we should start later and
finish later as well, we all have things to do, so at least consider being punctual
from time to time (and if you’re already late, stop hiding your tardiness with
elaborate discussion of miniature cleavages – we all know you have a breast
fixation by now – even those who’re sure you’re gay, Yoav), I can think of
other solutions if this will continue, trust me…
